Icy look. Winter Type Colour Analysis

Updated: Oct 20, 2021

Lit by moonlight, Winters look dramatic and refined. Their natural paints are dark, cool, and intense. So they are the most harmonious in deep, cool, and contrasting colours. Flowers of winter such as roses, gardenias or fuchsias, can be also a great inspiration for the palette as they perfectly light up the sense of drama and elegance for this season.

Seasonal colour analysis categorizes three winter types, based on the mix of key characteristics:

🌹Dark winter (dark-dominant; cool-secondary)

🌹True winter (cool-dominant; bright-secondary)

🌹Bright winter (bright-dominant; cool-secondary)

To know your type, check (in the daylight!) the pigments of your skin, eyes, and hair, look at the contrast between them, and the level of their darkness/saturation. After that read the description below to see which characteristics better reflect your appearance.

🌹Dark winter (dark-dominant; cool-secondary)

🌹True winter (cool-dominant; bright-secondary)

🌹Bright winter (bright-dominant; cool-secondary)
